This is the nightlife of many Spanish cities, a time when shadows embrace ancient walls and the streets whisper in hushed tones.

Spanish cities under starry skies reveal a charm hardly noticed during the daytime. The serene elegance of uncrowded squares, the scent of jasmine floating through Andalusian patios, and the reverberation of crashing waves along maritime promenades are characteristic sights and sounds of Spain at night.

The top five ranking starts full of vim and vigour in the city of Toledo. The Mirador del Valle offers some fantastic nighttime views of a city as beautiful from the outside as it is on the inside.

Fourth place goes to Madrid, a radiant metropolis in every sense. Many voters recommend a walk along the gleaming Gran Vía to understand why Madrid’s nightlife is like few other cities in the world.

Seville ranks as the third most-voted city for its Andalusian allure, the hypnotic presence of the Guadalquivir River and the mysterious Giralda, the bell tower of Seville Cathedral.

The silver medal is awarded to Salamanca, a place that often tops the lists of most beautiful cities. The monumental elegance of its old historic quarter, the golden lustre of its most emblematic edifices and the charming bustle of its Plaza Mayor redouble the city’s grandeur at night.

According to our followers, the winner is Granada, a city synonymous with exotic enchantment and a place that takes on new dimensions come nightfall. Indeed, Granada embodies a uniqueness that runs throughout the city. And of course, Granada’s splendour is greatly enhanced by the Alhambra, its prized palatial complex perched like an amber lighthouse on the darkened hillsides.

In addition to this unparalleled Nasrid monument, Granada has the enchanting Albaicín and Sacromonte neighbourhoods, the elegant street of Paseo de los Tristes, and the extraordinary Spanish Renaissance-styled cathedral in the city centre. Additionally, Granada enjoys one of Spain’s most vibrant nightlife scenes, placing it at the top of the list for Spain’s most dazzling city at night.
