If you are not sure about what to order, in Coca as in the whole province the most typical dish is roasted pig which you can also eat as a warm salad of pig meat. For the coolest days we recommend a "cocido castellano" or a stew of níscalos during the mushroom season. At the begining of March the area celebrates the killing of the pork (matanza) and right after different excellent products are made: picadillo, morcilla, chorizo, pancetas, etc.

Tapas
If you are looking for a nice "tapeo", you'll find nice raciones, tapas and montaditos at El Castillo. We recommend the eggplant, chorizo, egg and gula montadito. In addition, you can order croquetas, bravas and musrooms. Everything is homemade and the service is really polite but it may be a bit expensive due to its location.
