The beds are really comfortable and the familiar environment is incredible, the owners are so kind. If you like that kind of tourism in which you have all the local information at hand and you spend the days as if you were in your own home, Legaire Etxea is the best place you can stay even if you can not sleep in Gazeo and Alaitza.

The Parador de Argomaniz is another place that we really like on the area. It is really close to Antoñana, so you may visit it too. In this place they have homemade liqueurs and they are really good.

If you are up to staying a bit farther from Salinas de Añana centre, the Albergue Cantoblanco is located in an old medieval tower. The hearth and the design of the tower make the environment a very comfortable one. This place has rooms for people with reduced mobility. It is a simple accommodation but it invites to spend some peaceful days.

If you want to sleep in Salvatierra - Agurain you will have to keep in mind that the accommodation offer is really limited, we only found two accommodations worth to be recommended. The first one is the Casa Rural Zadorra Etxea, it is a stone and wood farm more than 200 years old. It still has its rustic style but the place is practical and comfortable after its renovation. The rural house offers 6 rooms to stay. One of the rooms is enabled for people with disabilities. In general this is a place well integrated in the environment.

The selection of places to stay in Markina-Xemein is not just scarce, it’s nonexistent. Our first suggestion for places to spend the night is Satzu House, a five-century-old mansion which has been refurbished while still preserving the original structure. It is located three kilometers from Xemein in Ubilla-Urberuaga. It consists of six rooms, some with private bathrooms and others with shared bathrooms, so make sure to confirm which one you’ll have when you make your reservation. The price of breakfast is not included, but it’s delicious and worth the money.

Another one of our recommendations is Intxauspe House, located in the fourth stage of the Camino de Santiago along the Northern Coast (Deba-Markina) and five minutes walking from Xemein. It has six double rooms and pretty grounds with a garden and fruit trees. If you stay here, you can partake in various outdoor activities on Santa Eufemia Hill and Kalamua y Oiz Hill, and you can also take advantage of several hiking trails.

Hotel Antsotegi is another place that we like because of its location; in Extebarría, it’s just a few minutes from Xemein by car. The hotel has cozy common spaces including a dining room with an open floor plan, which gives the hotel a hint of grandeur.
