One can bathe in the swimming pools of the resort while watching the bright blue waters of the sea extending in front of it. It is tempting to stay in Ikos Andalusia and not leave its facilities at all, but the surrounding area has many interesting things to offer too. Starting with Estepona, the so-called garden of the Costa del Sol. This gem in the province of Málaga is famous for its lovely streets with whitewashed houses decorated with flowers, an enchanting place to get lost in. Its old town is really worth visiting too, as well as the castle of San Luis, a 16th-century medieval fortress in the middle of the town.

The nature reserve of Los Reales de Sierra Bermeja lies less than 30 kilometres from the resort. It spreads around the mountain range of Sierra Bermeja, and it is home to endemic plant species that make it even more special. There are many hiking routes to explore this natural treasure, which provides breathtaking views and a different look into the Mediterranean landscape.

Back to the coastline, we will replace the green forests of the nature reserve with silky strands of sand and glittering water. Indeed, there are many sun-kissed beaches worth discovering near Estepona. Some of them are Playa de la Galera and Playa de Cristo, which boasts a Blue Flag certification. The two beaches flanking Ikos Andalusia, known as Playa de Guadalmansa and Playa de Guadalmina, are really nice to visit too.

Rooms, although classic, are very clean and have a sufficient size to be comfortable. One aspect that stands out from the hotel are the views, which are fabulous.

As a second alternative to sleep in Vélez Blanco we have the Hotel El Palacil. It is composed by clean and very well sized rural apartments. They have a swimming pool that is appreciated on the days when sun makes its own. The hotel has a restaurant with an oven to make homemade pizzas. In short, it is a simple, cozy and very quiet hotel at a good price. Surely Isabel, the owner, ensures that your stay is perfect.

Another option is Casa Luna Vélez Blanco, a house with a chillout-like decoration where the rooms are placed around its central swimming pool. As a second option we recommend you the Evenia Zoraida Garden, a perfect hotel to travel with children. The second option to sleep in Tabernas is the Cortijo Oro Verde. Its perfect location and its modern style makes catch the attention and interest of the tourist. It is a country house in the middle of nature decorated with a modern style combined perfectly with details that make it warm and comfortable. One of its attractions is the swimming pool and its several terraces with views to pool, without a doubt a perfect place to have a wine enjoying the landscape.

As an economic option to sleep in Tabernas, we highlight the Hostal Avenida, located on the main street of the town with views of the church. The rooms are comfortable, clean and perfect to overnight. Restaurants are very close to the hostel so you can move anywhere walking. It does not have a swimming pool but Tabernas has a municipal pool that opens from June to mid-September in which you can refresh.

Do not forget to complete your visit to Tabernas with a route through the desert, the scene in which many Hollywood actors played. This park or minihollywood is located just at 8 minutes by car from the town center.

In the center of this town you can sleep in small pensions and hotels. We highlight the best option: Lucero Hostel. It is less than 1 km away from the caves. For those who are not very close friends of the hostels, we know that this will surprise you. Excellent quality - price. The double room is around € 52 / night plus breakfast in high season.

Another alternative is the Pensión Cuatro Vientos, a cozy hostel. Although it does not have many luxuries, it is a very clean hostel. It has a perfect location and the terrace bar food is very good. It is a good option to sleep in Cuevas de Almanzora taking care of your pocket.

As a first option we have the Parador de Mojacar. As a good Parador it always meets the expectations. The location is perfect. It is located on the beach front so it has wonderful views. It is true that the rooms are a bit old and perhaps they will need a renovation of furniture. This "but" is supplied by a multitude of services such as an outdoor Jacuzzi, a pool with plenty of sun loungers or very complete breakfasts.

If you are looking for something more modern to sleep in Mojacar we suggest you the Cortijo El Sarmiento, it is the perfect place to combine relaxation and the whole Mojacar walk. The place is decorated with love, respecting that Andalusian charm of white house and patio with plants. The rooms all in warm colours that will make you feel at home. It has a common pool with sunbeds that is the final shot.

Hostal La Janda is an establishment located in the center of the town. We consider it a good option because of its cleanliness. The hotel is located in a building with a covered inner courtyard, which is the visual icon of the accommodation and which has the essence of the Andalusian style. It has 49 rooms of different types. All of them are quite simple and correct, decorated in red and white tones. They are very spacious and bright and some of them have a skylight in the ceiling. It is located 500 meters from the beach. The breakfast is good.

The Hotel Macia Doñana is a modern accommodation that is also located a few minutes from the centre of Sanlúcar de Barrameda. In the middle of a fishing district, you can have breakfast buffet with wonderful views. Rooms are very big and they have an illumination that gives a tenuos atmosphere to the rooms at night. It has a large swimming pool in the central courtyard of the hotel.

The white colour predominates in the rooms, so it gives them a great brightness and spaciousness to the spaces, and also a great feeling of cleanliness. The first accommodation we want to recommend you to sleep in Chipiona is the Hotel Agaró, a hotel decorated in white and blue that is 2 minutes walking from the beach. Rooms are huge, you will not miss space. The hotel's infinity pool has incredible views. The breakfast is very complete, they prepare what you ask for at the moment and the orange juice is natural.

We also recommend the Hotel Nieves Chipiona, which is 4 minutes from Regla Beach. Rooms are decorated in black and blue elements, so they do not give great feeling of spaciousness. Maybe the room may be small if you ask for an extra bed. There is a parking lot very close to the hotel, but it is charged.

We also have to highlight El Faro Hostel, which is 1 minute walking from the beach. All rooms are very bright becacuse of the natural light although some of them are short of space.

One of the accommodations that we like the most to sleep in Chiclana de la Frontera is the Valentin Sancti Petri, a hotel at 3 minutes walking from the beach. It is next to a golf course. The rooms are quite simple, but with everything you need for a stay of a couple of days. Almost all rooms have a terrace. The establishment has two restaurants, the Zahara and Cazorla, with buffet service and dishes from a menu during the summer months. There is a bicycle and car rental service and a spa that can be used with a surcharge.

The Iberostar Royal Andalus is another of the hotels that we recommend. It is located on the beach of La Barrosa and it has exceptional views of the sea. Where to sleep in Cádiz surroundings

If you prefer to sleep in the towns around Cádiz, the closest one is Puerto Real. There you can stay at the Gran Hotel Ciudad del Sur. Althought it is a bit old it is also an elegant and well equipped hotel. It is a 20-minute drive from the Jerez racing circuit. It has a small pool but very clean.
